TOUR ITINERARY AND CHECK IN INFORMATION PAGE

There will be three trips per day, with fourteen (14) slots available to the public to purchase per trip. Each trip will have three certified guides. Each tour will include a short training session, a brief river history by our guides and at times, talks from guest speakers on the river and its habitat, water quality, safety, and information on LAR programs. Participants will get a chance to view wildlife, navigate a kayak around slow-moving water, and learn about the river's past, present, and future.

The entire tour will take approximately 1 ½ hours, including ground rules and safety talk.

DAY SCHEDULE

    •Registration

    •Shuttled down to put-in point

    •Welcome and staff introductions

    •Introduction to the River by guides

    •Ground rules and safety talk

    •Paddle Clinic: On the ground and in water, participants practice paddling upstream to gathering point in the river.

    •River talk: Guest Speaker when available.

    •Paddle upstream approximately .75 mile to the grade stabilizer and back

    •There may be some pauses along the way to appreciate and discuss points of interest

    •Group paddles down final stretch, final notes on River

    •Take out: Staff will be waiting to collect equipment.

    •The drive back

    •Farewell and Thank You – End of tour
