We offer three one-hour slots on select Saturdays where guests may rent kayaks for an eye-opening self-guided tour down this natural bottom stretch of the Los Angeles River. Certified guides will be available at designated spots along your journey to assist with any issues that may arise. Before setting sail, guests will receive a short training and safety orientation. 
Rental fees are $30 per person for a one-hour trip. This covers the cost of your kayak, safety equipment, administration, equipment transport, and insurance. Should you exceed the one-hour time slot, a $30 fee will be assessed up to 60 minutes. Beyond 60 minutes, another $30 fee will be added.
Program Partners
The Paddle, the LA River program, speaks to the aggregate endeavors of a few ecological associations joining to improve the open view of the Los Angeles River. By paddling this grand stretch, you encounter directly that our urban waterway is a piece of a biological system that is both lovely and huge to Los Angeles’ past and future. The Corps has partnered with Urban Semillas, Pacoima Beautiful, Heal the Bay, and LA Sanitation to develop a high caliber recreation-education kayaking program for the public.
